COVID-19 Update from Downes Pest & Wildlife
We hope our customers remain safe and healthy during this unprecedented time.
Pest Management Professionals are among those identified as “essential” workers due to our contribution to general health and public sanitation.
Downes Pest & Wildlife is aware of and strictly adhering to the social distancing guidelines. Mike Downes is the only technician currently providing services. We are implementing the following protocols in order to provide services while maintaining the health and safety of all:
We will gather as much information as possible regarding your pest problem over the phone in order to decrease the need for Mike to directly interact with the customer.
When in a customer’s home, Mike will wear gloves and maintain the recommended social distance at all times.
We will not ask customers to sign invoices but will leave a copy of the invoice detailing work performed.
We also want to express our sincere respect and gratitude to all first responders and healthcare workers who are on the front lines providing care and comfort.

About Integrated Pest Management
How does integrated pest management work? The goal is to eliminate factor(s), such as food sources and harborage areas, that are favorable for the identified pest to survive and thrive. Identification of an action threshold and ongoing monitoring to keep the population below that level is important.
Practices include education, communication, exclusion/structural repairs, non-pesticide strategies, and limited pesticide use when needed.
Our Customer Service Commitment
We value our relationship with our customers and treat each one with courtesy and respect. We understand that when you call with a problem, it is often of an urgent nature and our availability and response time reflect that. We make every effort to schedule urgent calls within 24-48 hours. All other visits are scheduled at our customer's convenience. We welcome texts and emails also.
We are readily available to answer questions and address concerns!
Our Pest Management Commitment
Downes Pest is committed to participation in continuing education beyond the minimum state requirement. When choosing a pest control strategy for a property, we carefully consider many factors including the presence of children, pets, flowering plants, fruit & vegetable gardens, water sources, and honeybees. We educate our customers to ensure accurate expectations of the treatment and its course. We also focus on prevention and will provide recommendations to eliminate environments that are pest friendly.
